Father Poullet has been chosen to represent

the Oblate of the Vicarate of Whitehorse
at the General Congregation of the Oblate
of Mary Immaculate in Rome, He leaves
Cassiar on January 10th and after
spending one month in Rome he hopes to
spend three months visiting his relatives
in France.

The C.W.L, donated the proceeds of the
bake sale which they held just before
Xmas, (and which was a great success),

to Father Poullet to help pay for his
trip. During his absence his duties will
be carried out by Father Tanguay of

Carmacks,

CURLING NEWS:

The first event of the curling season for
the Christams turkeys was won by Don
McQuarrie, skip, Rick Wilson Vice, Fd.
McDonald Third, and Doug Knocker Lead.

Runners up were Bob Kemealy Skip, Reg
Ash Vice, Lucille Legros Third, and Bob
Collard Lead.

The competition for the Firestone and
A.I.M. Steel trophies will commence on
Monday January 3rd. The Firestone
trophy will be presented to the winner
and the A.I.M. Steel trophy to the

runners up.
