On Friday January 14, 2000 CUPE Local 3799 | members braved the possibility of frostbite and Page 6 | angry motorists to picket UNBC from 8:00 A.M. to 3 10:00 A.M. Support staff from the three other Universities in British Columbia, UVic, UBC and SFU joined the picketing UNBC support staff for their two hour strike. All vehicles going onto university property were stopped and drivers and passengers were asked if Soundscape four page pull- out! they really wanted to cross the line. Few motorists actually turned around.
