There is located here the Prince Rupert Drydock and Shipyard with a floating dry dock of 20,000 tons capacity, length, 600 feet. This is fully equipped for all marine repairs. The Imperial Oil Company maintains a large supply of fuel at this point with tank capacity of approximately 3,000,000 gallons. There are two daily newspapers supplied with telegraphic services over two systems. There is also a Goyernment Wireless Station, powerful enough to speak to Victoria direct. Due to the influence of the Japanese current zero weather is unknown and work may proceed in the open all winter.
