Mr. Vander Zalm, B.C.’s new Minister of S Education, has been invited to open Atlin’s new school in late October. Local M.L.A. Al Passarell has been invited also. The School! District has applied for a grant from the Cultural Services Branch to subsidize the school concerts during 1982—83. Possible concerts for the schools include Symphonie Canadiana, the Pacific Ballet and Felix Possack. Thanks, Frank. . °Twas Cassiar Resources to the rescue. The district is indebted to the Company for its - patience and assistance with the start-up and continuation of the new school project. Man- agement, engineering and electrical have all co-operated magnificently to ensure a good start and no delays. Cassiar also donated the school site — a great gesture. Well, kids, live it up! Summer is almost gone. Scattered over Canada, the Caribbean, Greece, England and other out-of-the- way places are some twenty-five tanned and rested teachers.
