Classes are now well under way and you should all be swamped with readings and assignments. But, that doesn’t mean that you cannot take a few minutes out of your busy schedule to flip Upcoming Events through this excellent addition of OTE. This issue is filled with lots of great content brought to you by the OTE editorial board and staff writers. There is, however, always room for improvement. If you ever come across any mistakes throughout the issue, or you think we should improve the layout of certain sections, we would love to hear from you! Here at Over the Edge we strive to be the best that we can, and we will take all the help we can get! In other news, we are still looking to fill both Features and Clubs positions. If you are interested in writing for Over the Edge and would like an extra $200 a month — then please send us your resume, cover letter, and writing sample. In addition to a monthly honourarium you would also get the opportunity to work with a great group of people, attend UNBC events for free, and be able to pad your resume with that little something extra. Please send all applications to over-the-edge@unbc.ca. If working on a consistent basis for Over the Edge is not the right fit for you, we also have an awesome contest going on right now that gives you the opportunity to win $50. All you have to do is submit an article to Over the Edge. Yes, it is that simple! The article can be on the topic of your choice and there is no minimum or maximum word length that you must adhere to. The more times that you submit an article to us, the more chances you have to win. At the end of each month we will put all of the names of all the submission authors into a hat and draw one luck winner. The contest runs until the end of the semester with draws at the end of September, October, and November. So hurry up and write your article!
