To the Editors: After pondering over a few intelligent age-old (or old-aged) questions, which cry out for an answer, I came to the following conclusions:- 1) A woman is a different something, of a person, too complicated and delicate to be pinpointed down, what exactly "something" should embrace. 2) She could be a Beast of Burden or Chattel out of her own free choice, hut then of course, she needs good care and attention in order to perform her functions well! 3) Some Canadians (let's not generalize) have spoiled their women with home gadgets, but they should really spoil them more with love and affec- tion and find out that it would make their world change. Page 13 After a little meditation, the following questions popped into my mind:- 1) Is a man a child or an adult? 2) Is he a working machine or a bread winner only? 3) Are Canadians more materialistic and less loveable than any other men in the world? Jetty Veltmeyer. Kamloops, B.C. The Editor of the Asbestos Sheet Dear Sir, My Daughter-in-Law has a friend who works at the Cassiar Mine and in tnis way I received a copy of your paper. I must take exception to the questions entered in your publication "Is a woman a person or something different". A woman is not only a person, she its also something different, --- men have abused her anid taken advantage of her for generations - thank heavens the "tyranny of men” has ended in Canada. We still have a few ignorant people around who still think of her as a Beast of Burden - very stupid men. The writing has been on thewall for a long time they just refuse to see it.
