A lovely buffet dinner was prepared by the Mothers Group. Guests for the occasion were Mrs. M. Nitti, Mrs. L. Fitzsimmons and Mrs. J. Veltmeyer, who had assisted the Guiders in various projects. An outline of the years activities and achievements was given for the Brownies by M. Overton, Brown Owl, and for the Guides by L. Akey, Captain. District Guider, Mrs. Pat Maxson presented Lt. M. Kutsche with her warrant pin and outlined the final Guide event of the year to take place at Chain Lake Lions Picnic Grounds on Sunday, June 21, when the lst Cassiar Guide Company host the Lower Post Guide Company. The days activities will resemble a day at Camp. The Mothers Group, Girls and Guiders are looking forward to another successful year starting in September. All girls in the area who are not members are invited to join. The Lions Club Picnic grounds at the north end of Chain Lake was the setting where the lst Cassiar Company of Girl Guides played hostess to Twenty-Five Lower Post Guides, two guiders and two staff members of the Residential School. The day began with the singing of '0' Canada' and an official welcome from the Guiders. An outdoor Mass followed with Father Mc Allister officiating. Dinner, games, contests and songs filled the afternoon. The weather was very kind until supper when the heavens opened and rain poured down. However, this did not deter our outdoor schef, Vic Maxson, nor the appetites of the girls. All too soon, it was time for campfire and taps. The guests departed with the promise that the two companies would meet again soon. THANK YOU: The ladies of the All Saints Anglican Community Church wish to express their gratitude to everyone who helped in any way with their recent Rummage Sale.
