SPOTLIGHT
ON SECURITY —

Have you ever
wondered why UNBC has so
many security officers and
why they are so visible. We
* decided to find out.

To get to the bottom
of this, Karin Fennell went
and talked to Tracey
Thompson. Tracey was an
‘RCMP officer for seven years
and she worked for the
ambulances for four years.

Her background is
as diverse as possible. She
has taught self defense

If a person is
walking alone to his or her
car, a security officer will
accompany that person to
their vehicle. As an added
bonus, parking lots are
monitored frequently.

found, the security office is

it has been returned.

Thompson said that
she is concerned about
students feeling comfortable

will help you out with just
about any problem or
difficulty you have at
campus.
