together who we may never
have seen in one place if it

Clinton, Bobby B, Kid Rock,
Filthee Immigrants, Scott
Kirkland, and The Crystal

Method, just to name a few.
Tommy and TiLo take on
the vocal side of things.
This vast army of talent
gathered from different
spheres is what lends merit
to Tommy’s compitation. It’s
different, it’s heavy, it’s edit-
ed, cut, pasted, synthe-
sized, and the result (due
no doubt to the great deal

of talent inputted) is an
aggressive backbeat of
killer rock. Roll down the

Jezebel’s Jam Brings Local Female Artists to UNBC

February 4th brought
UNBC a premier event,
Jezebel’s Jam, hosted by the
UNBC Northern Women’s
center, with a variety of spon-
sors.

Music and lyrics filled the
Northwood Wintergarden for
hours and nobody wanted to
see the.end of the all-female,
multi artist performance.

Included in the nights mas-
Sive line up were, get ready -
the line up is massive;

Doyle & Karl Standezen,
Keona & Friends, Thea
Caron, Jeanine Akehurst,
Lisa Cassidy, Thea Caron,
Amanda Keller, Kasandra
Joss, Tara Sweder, Chantelle
Oliver, Dani Thompson,
Simon Goring, Erin Kendal,
Kim ._Durban and the night
wound up with a spectacular
performance by Mama
Guroov, who had the entire
crowd up and dancing to their

Much of the music per-
formed was acoustic and
sometimes was only a lone
woman singing along with her
own guitar line, but this only

appreciation with due enthu-
siasm.

One of the great touches of
this concert was the fact that
all of the bands were local,
giving a venue to local female
artists, from Prince George
and the surrounding area,
who drastically need opportu-
nities to perform. These
opportunities are rarer in
Prince George than in larger
cities, such as Edmonton or
Vancouver.
