Floored at the Metro By Dana Schwehr The Metro Nightclub presented "| Floored in concert on January 28, 2002. Opening up the night was Talking Texas, an excellent rock act | that set the mood perfectly for the *| night that was to follow. This band was quite a pleasant surprise, as they were not a well-known act, but that will not last for long, considering the amazing show they put on. Both high energy and catchy, this band from Vanderhoof is definitely some- thing to watch out for in the future. Unfortunately, their set wasn’t quite long enough for the audience, so one can only hope that they will come back to Prince George soon. The highlight of the night, however, - was the hard, Photo By Dana Schwehr Floored’s turn-tablist, DJ Weasel, showing his elite talents. started the night off with some of their more familiar songs and cov- ers, and then progressed to some original material. Included in their set was an interesting spoken word piece, as well as some more familiar Rage Against the Machine covers. Floored demonstrated their incredi- ble performance aura, their excel- lent grasp of musical skills, as well as their ability to show a crowd a good time. After all, Floored’s sound, is explosive, full of energy, and audi- ences everywhere seem to like it a § lot. In all, Floored accomplished the job they came to do; play good music, and have a good time and take the audience along for the ride. It was a tongue-peeling good time, and | hope that someone will do something like this again soon. Photo By Dafigaschwehr Lead singer of Talking Texas opens up the night.
