The App Store is prohibiting all pornographic and sexually inappropriate apps come March. Sorry boys, guess you'll have to switch to the An- droid. WIND Mobile, if you’ve heard of them congrats. They are coming! Well, not to PG and not even in Vancouver yet but their latest push for customers is $150 bonus to porting-customers who switch over from other providers... | thought this wasn’t legal! Japan recorded a 6.9 magnitude earthquake and immedi- ately issued a tsunami warning. How much was Haiti again? Oh yeah, we better give 120 million to Japan then too. Japan is one of the world's most earthquake-prone coun- tries, but has stringent building codes designed to avert struc- tural damage when tremors hit. Courtesy of CBC. | guess they thought ahead hey? Chile and Taiwan have also been hit by earthquakes in the past 2 weeks. UPDATE: 2012 anyone? Apple has had the iPad production delayed... curious that their child labour lawsuit just came to fruition. Coincidence? Prove it to me. Canada won 14 gold medals at the Olympics which was the most ever won by a nation! So, even though we didn’t own the podium we sure looked like the dictator by constantly being at the top! I’m thinking we just need to get more athletes qual- ified for the next one so we can add in more silvers/bronzes. Extreme levels of a toxic chemical were found in air sam- ples from a Prince George, B.C., neighbourhood more than 18 months ago, but the community still has not been told of the danger, CBC News has learned. This was unearthed originally back in early March. We have recently learnt that these levels are acceptable at 65 micrograms in one hour from air samples. Patricia boulevard and 17th avenue measured over 1600 mi- crograms in the span of an hour. So, perhaps we shouldn't be travelling outside in the summertime to save on fuel? PG Tourism will not recover from this given the 1-lying, and 2- ridiculously high levels of the chemical that we use in Chem- istry class to preserve frogs. A study out of France, presented at the 2007 annual meet- ing of the Society for Neuroscience, showed that when rats were given the choice between water sweetened with saccharin and _ intra- venous cocaine, 94 percent chose the saccha- rin water. The same preference was also observed when the water was sweetened with sucrose (sugar); the rats overwhelmingly chose the sugar water. When the rats were offered larger doses of cocaine, it did not alter their pref- erence for the saccharin or sugar water. In other words, intense sweetness was more rewarding to the brain than cocaine. There were 6 new grow-ops busted in the North Okanagan this past month. “The amount of marijuana seized had the potential of 37,000 joints on the street. The population of Vernon is only 35,000,” says Molendyk. Has anybody been keeping a running tally of how many grow- ops and plants have been found in Prince George/Quesnel? CBC has been keeping quite up-to-date on the NHL drama concerning headshots and the possibility of harsher penalties. NHL will present a DVD montage to the teams and organiza- tion committees of players receiving headshots and their con- sequences, like concussions and lost players. This whole saga will have to come to money. Hopefully many hockey watchers do not respect a head shot during game play, but hockey is about fighting. I’m guessing showing how many stellar players they are losing to these hits will do the convincing. And when you lose your best player, people stop watching the game. NYL is hoping to have this rolled out very soon to the teams prompt- ing them to accept the rules and inturn keeping more players on the ice before playoffs. 4CTION, Ot 4 Tout Small class sizes e Supportive cohort experience University of Lethbridge SRSA S aT o> 1S IS WHA OUR 1AX REFUND COULD a An average refund with us is $1,000.
