PLATE IX a. Bowlder of translucent blue-green jade, oblong, rounded worn ends, used asa hand-hammer. Found on anold village- site on Fraser river, opposite Lytton, British Columbia. : b. War-pick of homogeneous, deep-green jade, with slight veins of a darker color, exhibiting a central ridge along the lateral sides, gradually decreasing toward the curved end. The head or cutting edge is convex, and stands vertical when mounted. From the Stikine tribe of Tlingit, near Wrangel, Alaska.
