Prince Rupert, British Columbia oNGning CA C3 - The new concentrator, of approximately 3,000 tons capacity in 24 hours, finished this year (1924) by the Granby Consolidated, will materially increase the output of that Company. The Premier Gold Mining Company, operating at Stewart, B.C., has produced over $10,000,000 in a little over three years, and repaid in dividends its full capitalization of $9,000,000 in that time. Its production is assured for several years, though its rate of dividends will undoubtedly diminish as the enriched surface ores are depleted. A new shipper, the Outsider Mine, at Maple Bay, under operation by the Granby Consolidated, has been added to the list early in 1924, making five large shipping properties in the Northern portion of the provinee, viz: Belmont- Surf Inlet, Granby Consolidated, Premier, Duthie Mines, and Outsider. There are several smaller shippers in the Esperanza, at Alice Arm, Patterson Group, on Porcher Island, Golskeish, near Anyox, and Silverado, at Stewart, as well as a number of properties such as the Indian, Dunwell, B.C. Silver, Bix Missouri, Fiddler Creek, Dome Mountain, ete., on which extensive development work is giving every reason for expecting them to become producers in the near future. The potentialities of the mining industry in this dis- trict are practically unlimited, and there can be no doubt that the next few years will mark a wonderful progress in mining. 1923 Output of Drstrict Mines Name of Property Ore Mined Gold Silver Copper Lead Tons Oz.
