been designated as Fire Wardens for the
Cassiar Area:

Mr. George Brewer, Fire Chief
Cassiar Voluntary Fire Department

Mr. Aldo Borsato, Deputy Fire Chief
Cassiar Voluntary Fire Department

Under Section 125 of the Forest Act, a
Fire Warden becomes a Forest Officer on
the outbreak of a fire and as such has the
authority to order any person liable under
the Act for such service to assist in fire
fighting.

NUPITALS

A wedding of interest took place on August 9th

from Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church,

when John Forbes and Dianne Wood exchanged

vows.

Both the Forbes and Wood families are long
time residents of Cassiar, and John and
Dianne are a popular couple in the younger
set.

Friends and relations of the families and the
bride and groom gathered at the Jim Forbes
residence for a reception after the evening
church service.

Congratulations and Best Wishes for a long
and happy life, John and Dianne.
