Page 15 LEGRNS OCTOBERFESE Having the Octoberfest on November the first didn't seem to make any difference except the weather was some colder on the bare knees and of-course the 16 inches of snow that fell on Friday did not help the situation. Needless to say, the hall was filled to the doors with all the fim loving people of Cassiar, singing and dancing until the early Sunday morning. The music was supplied by the Edelweiss Band from Seattle. The hall was decorated with spruce boughs and flags and with everyone wearing bavarian hats it was all a colourful scene. The | Bavarian food was a delightful change once the kitchen crew dispensed with the barbecue pit. All in all it was a very successful evening thanks to the Lions and especially the Chairman , of the Octoberfest, Lion Alf Lehmann.
