=) 93h— 2. SELECTION OF FIELDS : o More attention should be paid upon a routine system of 'gelecting fields. Also, it is advisable that counts on each field be recorded on "some" samples for correlation of deviation due to field counting. i 3% AVOID INTERCHANGING COUNTERS Whenever possible, the same counter should be used to perform the counts on routine samples. This is to avoid counting deviation due to different counters. (d) SAMPLING 1. AMALGAMATE PRESENT SAMPLE LOCATIONS Location areas should be amalgamated to encompass all previous sample locations (see page 37-59).This is to give us a better assessment of the environmental conditions on a weekly basis. 2% WEEKLY AREA SAMPLING (MINI-BIMONTHLY SURVEY) A weekly survey throughout the mine and mill of approximately twenty locations should be done to give us a better assessment of the environmental conditions for environmental costs. Results of this survey should either be sent out daily or weekly, depending upon the preference of the operations people. Monthly assessments should also be done. Sie T.W.A. SAMPLING The Time Weighted Average (T.W.A.) sampling should be taken regularly to give us an assessment on occupational exposure on an 8 hour time weighted average of the sampling results in the active working areas. 4. STATIC WHEELABRATOR SAMPLES Wheelabrator samples should be static samples with the sampling period to be a minimum of } hour duration, but preferably one hour. Samples will be done daily, even on nonproduction days. The nonproduction
