-51l- 1 Waverley.— The Waverley showings occur on a comparatively lovel — Ann. Rept., Minister of Mines, B.C.: 1929, p. 153; 1930, p.137 bench, in an area about 1,000 fect long. Within this stretch sulphides occur in a number of areas 50 to 100 foct long and 5 to 25 foot wide ond are also scattered widely in still smaller amounts. The mineralized areas as seen on the surface are not continuous with, one another and there is no reason to believe that they are continuous beneath the surface. The mincralization is in the main sparse, but massive sulphides, including galena, sphalerite, and pyrrhotite and small amounts of chalcopyrite, occur in pockets, stringers, and in breccia. A sample of a section rich in sulphides assayed 39 ounces of silver to the ton, 25.2 per cent lead, and 9.2 per cent zinc. The rocks are mainly argillite, sandstone, and conglomerate and they dip south at angles of about 25 degrees but are considerably contorted near the deposits. With the clastics there is some completely altered rock that is probably dacite tuff or flow but may be intrusive. Mineralization has been largely confined to shattored zones in this altered rock. It occurs both as cavity filling and as replacements. In places it is flat lying and much of it may be of the nature of an irregular blanket that has beon to a considerable extent eroded. 2 Seven Sisters Group.— On the Seven Sisters group scattered 2 hea. It occurs in pockets, in stringers, if in irregular fractures, and along one zone of alteration dipping casterly into the mountain at an angle of Set 45 degrees. It if occurs mainly in volcanics that are overlain by conglomerate,
