By Bianca Beckett and Denee Wells Named after the first grade reader “Dick and Jane”,- See Spot Run performed a capti- vating concert at the Munk bar on Thursday, March 26th. Blending the talents of Chris (bass player and lead singer), Randy (guitarist), Reggie (guitarist), and Bruce (the drummer), the crowd was entranced by their original styles of music. This relative- ly new band is promoting their first CD Ten Stories High, including their hit song Au Natural which can be seen on Much Music. Combing all genres of music, this devoted band expressed to us, “We don't like to label IN THE UBRARY... our music because we find it too limiting”. They do, on the other hand, like to “Get your blood going and then slow it right down”. The concert was energetic and fun, and it was obvious that this band enjoys playing their music. After the concert the band hung out at the bar with their devoted fans, and kindly answered all questions and signed autographs. It is obvious that this easygoing band has not allowed their new-found fame to get to their heads. See Spot Run made the final nominations for the Juno Award “Best New Band”, competing with bands such as Age of Electric, and Wide Mouth Mason, but unfortunately didn’t make the cut for the top five. They will be releasing a brand new sin- gle and a new video on Much Music called Lucy soon so watch for it! This will be the band’s fourth single and third music video. You can find their CD Ten Stories High at record stores everywhere. No matter what kind of music you .prefer, you are sure to like this band, and we encourage you to check them out if you ever have the opportunity!
