LADIES HANDICRAFT CLUB The Ladies Handicraft Club open- ed their Fall to Spring session with a Banquet held in the Curling Club Lounge on September 20th. The taste tempting German, Hun- garian, French, English and Canad- ian dishes prepared by the ladies of the Club were enjoyed by the 20 present. It was nice to see some new faces and the Club extends a sincere welcome to them. Please keep coming! The Club meets every second Monday evening at 8 p.m. Notices are placed in the store lobby advis- ing the place of the meeting. The Handicraft Club is hoping to have another sale of Handwork, per- haps next spring. This will give us lots of time to prepare for it. There will be more on this later. Anyone not attending the meetings and interested in contributing to this sale is very welcome to do so. kx * & HOSPITAL NEWS .......... A small dinner party was held at the Nurses Residence recently to farewell Laurel Hazelwood who is returning to Aussie. The food was delicious and plentiful. Thanks Josette. We wonder how long it will be before Laurel returns to Canada. What do you think Al? Laurel was also honoured at an afternoon tea in the Nurses Res- idence where Dr. Navin, on behalf of all the Hospital Staff, pre- sented her with a gift of gold teaspoons.
