PLANNED REDUCTION SCHEDULE To achieve particulate emission reduction at controllable sources and as reflected in Table 7, it is necessary that the following items be satisfactorily completed and operational. All mobile drills must be equipped with fabric filters. This will be done my mid 1975. The remaining jaw crusher and cone crusher areas at the Minesite must be equipped with fabric filters for ventilation and dust control. This is also expected to be done by mid 1975. Remaining areas at the Mine buildings below the top cone crusher are not to be used; it is recommended they be dismantled and removed. Diesel engines at the Powerhouse, including No. 16, must be regularly maintained to avoid excessive carbonaceous and gaseous emissions. Dryer burners must also be operated and maintained efficiently, and baghouses kept at peak filtration efficiency. A few missing bags would result in increased emissions. A fabric filter baghouse must be installed to vent and exhaust the Dry Rock Storage Building. This work must be complete during 1975. The New Tramline and Concentrator facilities must be equipped with fabric filtration, and for internal recirculation unless heated make-up air is being provided. The Dust Agglomeration System must be used to its fullest on all potentially air-borne dusts. Emissions at the tailings are even further reduced by deposition from an overhanging conveyor rather than swivel pilers. It is expected that installation of a heated and enclosed tailings conveying system during 1975 will allow 100% on-time of the wetting system. At present, in temperatures of less than 30 F., freezing and plugging problems are experienced. Average on-time for December 1974 so far has been 13%.
