The Quebec Asbestos Mining Association, however, have 1977 data from 5 towns adjacent to the Eastern Townships Asbestos Mines, indicating an arithmetic average of 0.045 fibres/cc. Our Cassiar data for the period December 1976 to June 1977 indicates an arithmetic average of 0.034 fibres/fec. (The Cassiar results are outlined in Appendix D).
