I hope that this little issue of the newspaper will help give the students of UNBC a little respite from impending deadlines and midterm exams. By the time this issue reaches the student populace, Over the Edge will hopefully be one Feature’s Editor closer to a full staff. We have had a surprising amount of people apply to hold the always-coveted Feature’s Editor position here at OTE and the current Editorial - Board has had quite a time picking through the candidates. But just because we have closed the application for the Features position does not mean that your chance to join the Over the Edge team is over. Over the Edge is still searching high and low for a Clubs Editor. The ideal candidate for the Clubs Editor position is someone who loves to meet new people and attend a lot of great events. The Clubs Editor is responsible for attending and covering any and all UNBC club events. This means attending UNBC club parties, events, and meetings and then reporting back to your fellow students in each issue of OTE. In addition, the Clubs Editor can also do club profiles as well as interview club members and presidents. Over the Edge will pay for all events that the Clubs Editor attends. Moreover, the Clubs Editor -will receive a monthly honourarium of $200 a month. So, if this sounds like the right position for you — please send your resume, cover letter, and sample of your writing to over-the-edge@unbe.ca. Over the Edge is always looking for staff writers as well. Over the Edge staff writers cover anything from news, arts and entertainment, to sports and clubs. While staff writers are not paid, the position provides not only a great boost to your resume but valuable skills that can transfer both academically and profes- sionally. For more information or to get involved send us an email! Here at Over the Edge we are always looking to improve and make each issue of the paper better than the last. That is why we are always looking for feedback from our readers. We want to know if there is something that you do or do not like about the paper. We welcome criticisms/pleasantries about articles, layout, and different OTE features.
