Vie have been informed that the Trade Councellor for the Department of Labour will be in town either on the first or second week of December to run examinations. Upqrading trainina classes are presently being run for Millwriahts/Maintenance Mech- anics, Heavy Duty Mechanics, — Electricians, Sheetmetal] Workers, Vlelders and Plumber. Pipefitters. Persons attend- ing the classes who have the required number of hours of practical experience and are eliqible to take these Gov- ernment exams will be qiven special preparatory trainina, Those concerned are remind- ed that applications for the examinations must be forward- ed to the Department of Labou along with a $10.00 fee at least two weeks before exam time. Anplication forms may be obtained at the Trainina Centre and the trainina staff will be happy to provide all the necessary information on required prerequisits. The program will run for 30 hours Two, 3 hour classes per week and starting on the 23rd of ‘October.
