vey /7 a) wy ? ol | SPORES CASSIAR SNOWMOBILE CLUB ACTIVITIES The 1972 Cassiar Snowmobile Club has nrre- sented two oval raves and a Cross Country race for points, in addition to the num- erous trail rides and novelty competitions that were held in conjunction with the Cassiar Lions’ Winter Carnival. We would like to thank Bill Dobie who acted as First. Aid attendant at our first race and Ed Michael who acted as M.C. at our Winter Carnival events. A biq thanks goes out to all others who helped so much in all capacities through out this season. Novelty Events We had a lot of laughs at these events which ranged from a serious Slalom course to an inner tube relay with lots of lauchs in between. Slalom G. Stewart 303 ArcticCat L. Aadtand 440 ArcticCat Wry Guys and Gals Slalom This one called for balance and sharp fingernails as the qal (as passenger) was required to break a balloon on each nole as the quy drove in and out through the gates. Witwicki ] Glen & Karen Stewart 2 Bob & Sherry Sethen’ 3 Inner Tube Relay An inner tube was tied on behind the snownobile with a 6' rone then with the qals as passengers in the tubes the quvs raced to a point where they had to turn the machines around and trade places with the. qals who raced the machines back to the starting line.
