SINCE the beginning of the air raids over Great Britain up to and including Septem- ber 5 last, police there have been awarded, in all, 249 decorations, while 171 have been commended. The conduct of A.R.P.. work” he continued “must come from the hearts and souls of the citizens. That is the principle of the A.R.P., so that we must work together in these things.” Because of public confidence in its law enforcement organizations the prospect of raids and invasion has resulted in no panic, he asserted. During the second day of the session, delegates concluded their business with the passing of resolutions and election of off. cers for the next year. Among the resolutions passed was one asking the governmental agencies to im mediately release all necessary firearms, ammunition, radio equipment and other supplies as may be necessary to meet the present emergency.
