68 The Fouece-Coupe river occupying a valley one~half to one mile wide and 206 feet deep flows in a northerly direction scross the western pert of this township. The scastem part of the township is again eut up by Henderson creek, a stream about 25 feet wide near its mouth and with a valley as deep as that of the Pouce-Goupe river. In section 25 where this stream anters the township it has a width of 5 feet ané flows in a valley about ten chains wide ené fifty feet deep which brosdens out repidly as it nears the Pouce-Coupe piver, to the above steted width and depth. Phe o14 EoD. and B.C. railway grade, on which the ateel has never been laid, passes through the south east portion of the township. ‘This grade is now used as the main road between Pouce-Coupe and Spirit River. fhe portion of the township north of Henderson creek is accessible by a road from the Rolla ~ Pouce-Coupe road which eresses the Pouce-Coupe river in section 19 and leads across the township in an easterly direétion, eventually joining the Spirit River trail. This tral ig sometimes used in the winter time by setilers when travelling light. Grade on the hills of the rouce-Coupe river is impossible for heavy loatse ‘The greater portion of the east half of the township is covered with 4 med ium stand ef poplar, generally from 1 inch toe ¢ inches in diameter.
