I am very pleased to state that the recommendation of the external Team to the Ministry of Education was as follows: "The Team is very pleased to recommend to the Ministry of Education, without reservation, immediate Accreditation for Cassiar Secondary School." I believe that the above statement is a reflection of the quality of staff, student, com- munity and School Board support for the school. Intramurals The 1989/90 C.S.S. intra- mural season ended in June with an exciting floor hockey playoff between the “Oilers" and the "Bruins". This event followed on the heels of the N.H.L. Stanley Cup Playoffs in which the Edmon-- ton Oilers defeated the Boston Bruins 4-1. Proving that one can rewrite history, the Cassiar Bruins de- feated the Cassiar Oilers 4-1, in a series in which three of the went “into “overtime, and Similar to the Boston Gardens, the power went out, and the air conditioning didn't work. I would like to take this opportuntity to acknowledge the members of the Cassiar Bruins for their success.
