In the event of a Fire Emeraency, the
local Fire Department must be called to
alert by the following systems:

1. Phone - 778-7222

2. Sound the Siren Alarm by pressina
a Fire Emernency button. These are
located at strateqic points throu-
ahout the townsite and plantsite
and are well marked by a RED LIGHT,

\le emphasize the Safety Factor involved
in Fire Emeraency - DON'T WAIT = EVACUATE,

FLEE TO SAFETY FIRST - then alert the
Fire Department by usina one of the AnOve
Alert Systems.

Do your part in the prevention of further
fatalities in Cassiar.

hen using alert system number 2, rem-
ember, the Siren button is NOT automatic.
It must be pressed CONTINUALLY to aet

the desired sianal. While you are sound-
ina the alarm in this manner, have a
neighbour phone the fire department,
778-7222 and aive them the location of
the fire.

FIRE SIGNALS:

Plantsite - 1 blast - repeated
Townsite - 2 blasts- repeated

Repeat your sianal until the Fire Depart-
ment is alerted and they know the locat-
ion of the fire. Don't stop the alarm

too soon. Locate a Fire Emernency Button
near your nlace of residence and don't
hesitate to use it in case of Fire
Emeraency.

- Do NOT obstruct Fire Exits or
Secondary doorways.

- HAVE a plan of escape and be sure
your family knows how to use it.
