extremely cold temperatures, and while we
cannot make this as a elaim to fame, we can at
least say our temperatures and weather Neranee

The first time that official recordi: ” 3 were taken
here in Cassiar was Jamary, 1952, so we were able to peruse =
‘the files from that date on and these were some of the recorded
temperatures in the farenheit seale and weather,

Lowest: 58° F. February lth, 1954, Highest +86° F. August 4th, 1953.
The heaviest snowfall for one day was o1 December 14th, 1958, when 14 inches

fell. The heaviest snowfall for one winter was 1958 inte 1959 when 232 inches fell,
and on July lst, 1962, a freak snowfall which recorded 9 inches.

From winter to summer in one day. -47° ?. te + 25° F. on February léth, 1956, a
72° change. Biggest degree of change in aie month was February 1954, when the
eee varied from m 58 F. to sine F. a 100° change and a Poy figure. 1953.
~50° F., to +86° F. a change of 134°,

The most rain that fell in one year 1952 15 inches. The longest period of time
