INAUGURAL LOAD BY TRIMAC On Thursday Sept. 2nd, a quiet ceremony took place at the Cassiar Fibre loading dock at the mill when A. Marques, forklift operator load- ed the first pallet of fibre on to a “Trimac" truck driven by Doug Lee. (Doug is a former employee of Cassiar.) The occasion marked the arrival of the P.G.E. Railway at Fort Nelson and the establishment of facilities to handle our fibre going South on the Alaska Highway. Trimac will handle the trucking on this run. During the ceremony Mr. Caron, General Superintendent of Cassiar Asbestos Corp. Ltd., congratulated P.G.E. officials on a job well done by having the rail lines into Fort Nelson on schedule. He said that this, along with the extension into Dease Lake was a large milestone towards the further development of a vast area in Northern, B.C. He further stated that he had little doubt that Trimac (one of the large- st trucking companies in Canada) would have little difficulty in dealing efficiently with our prod- ucts, and hoped our association with them ai? the P.G.E. would be a long and appy one, to the benefit of all concerned, 4 TORN T OR t © (dfetearie j on meee Officials from P.G.E.
