PLANT AND EQUIPMENT

The total cost of additions to plant and equipment during the period amounted to
$518,235 consisting of:

OUTSIDE EXPLORATION

As reported in the previous annual report, a group of mineral claims in the area
covering a new asbestos find were held under an option to purchase. Examination of this
showing failed to confirm the presence of asbestos in commercial quantities and the option
was dropped.

Other examinations and prospecting carried out produced no results of commercial
significance.
