=~ 38s St. Croix to Kleanza Creek A large number of mineral deposits have been discovered throughout the lower parts of the drainage basins of St. Croix, Chimdemash, and Kleanza creeks. Some are related to dykes that, judging by written reports and information from prospectors, are similar to the rhyolite dyke on the Canyon property. The mineral- ization on most of the properties is described as consisting in the main of sparsely distributed chalcopyrite and bornite with low values in silver. Some of the mineral deposits, such as those on the Shenandoah claim and on Bornite mountain, appear to continue over lengths unusually great for this district. On Bornite mountain gold values in average samples range up to 0.5 ounce. On the Algoma property2. near granitic intrusives there ab = Ann. At the St. Elmo vroperty® chalcopyrite and hematite occur sparingly. In a quartz stringer on the Golden Cacho® some free gold was found.
