The landscaping around UNBC (except for the new residences) is complete. New trees have been planted. New grass is growing everywhere. New walkways have been added to the cafeteria and administration building. Fresh kinnikinnick and flowers have been planted in all of the flower beds. : Everyone involved in the landscaping will agree on one thing: THIS WAS NO EASY JOB! Was it the endless hours of shoveling and raking? No. Was it the painful number of wheelbarrow loads of dirt pushed around? No. The worst part of the whole thing was the rocks (nicknamed UNBC rocks). There were rocks everywhere. You i HOME SWEET HOME * Looks a Lot Better! inch of the place and not pull up a rock. To put it mildly, this job was excruciating, Who can we thank for this _ beautification project? Holland Landscapers was the contractor who organized the job. They hired a number of UNBC students and local folks. Here are the names of these people who will shamelessly take credit: Tony Lort, Robert Karanja, Mike Wolowicz, Gregory Allerie, Neil Heidelbach, Doug Smith, and several (and sometimes colourful) people from Western Industrial Construction. Also there was a few minutes of help from a hilarious pink gorilla (don't ask). These people joke about how tough it was. Fortunately long-lasting friendships and contacts were made (not to mention some - Serious coin). "
