Anglican Church News We welcome to Cassiar, Peter Nissen, the new incumbent for All Saints Anflican Community Church. Peter was born in Seattle Washington, November 29, 1946, attended Shaunigan Bay School on Vancouver Island for 10 years, then 4 years at U.B.C. where he earned his B.A. He next attended the Anglican Theological College of B.C. gradu- ating with his Master of Divinity in May of this year. Peter arrived here October 5 and says that Cassiar is very beautiful. He plays the organ and plans to become involved in curling. Mr. Nissen will be ordained Deacon on November 21, 1973 at Christ Church Cathedral in Whitehorse. A message from Peter - "I am your servant in Christ, if ever I am needed please phone or come anytime." Church Service All young People are invited to come for Discussion and refreshments Sunday Evening at 7:00 p.m. 16 On Suncayv evening, October 7th, an impressive service was held in All Saints Anglican Church, Cassiar, when Bishon Frame Bishop of the Yukon, held a confirmation for vounr people from Cassiar and Teleprani Creel... The Cassiar candidates, presented bv Archdeacon Privett, were Ellen knovwles, Donna knovles, Tiarearet Jones, Barbara Ramlah, Carin Tischler and Christine Tisculer. Presented by the Rev. Robert Waeeler from Telegranh Creek were Nav Havkins, Edgar Trani and Bob Frani:. The Bisiiop vas assisted in tlhe service by Arch- deacon Privett, the Rev. Robert Wheeler and Tir. Peter Nisson. After the service an informal recention was held in the Rectorv. This was an opportunity for friends to congratulate the voung people wno were confirmed and also a chance to visit with Bishon Frame and Mrs. Frame who, with tvo of their daughters, accompanied the Bishon to Cassiar. It was also an opportunity for the members of tiie congregation to meet Tr. Peter Nisson who is the new Incumbent at All Saints. (ir. Nisson is avaitins his ordination as a Deacon which will take vlace in Whitehorse in November. He is heartily welcomed to Cassiar.
