Newberry, District Superintendent of Schools, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. John Olson as Vice-Principal of Cassiar Elementary- Secondary School beginning in September, 1976. Mr. Olson is well known in Cassiar, having taught here for five years. In addition to his teaching duties, he has been deeply involved in the school sports programs and outdoor education activities. Mr. Olson will share administrative duties with Principal Jack Grant whose supervising load has been in- creased with the addition of Dease Lake Elementary to the present supervision of Cassiar and Good Hope Lake schools. Cassiar Elementary-Secondary school will expand its program to include Grade 12 for the school year beginning September, 1976. An increase of one member to . the teaching staff and the addition of one classroom is necessary to meet the needs of the program. Programming is underway with students who will be enrolled in Grade 12. A full academic program will be offered, as well as several vocationally oriented courses.
