and subsequent physical well being.

Among the environmental factors 2 play paramount
roles especially significant in that they can be control-
led by the person involved. Diet is of extreme impor-
tance and, along with energy flows, will be discussed as
the need prevails. However , physical activity, the
second factor, will be the prime concern: in the weeks —
that follow.

Exercise has many benefits:

"S POSITION

Dr. A. Newberry, District Superintendent of
Schools, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr.
John Olson as Vice-Principal of Cassiar Elementary-
Secondary School beginning in September, 1976.

Mr. Olson is well known in Cassiar, having
taught here for five years. In addition to his teaching
duties, he has been deeply involved in the school sports
programs and outdoor education activities.

Mr. Olson will share administrative duties with
Principal Jack Grant whose supervising load has been in-
creased with the addition of Dease Lake Elementary to the
present supervision of Cassiar and Good Hope Lake schools.

Cassiar Elementary-Secondary school will expand
its program to include Grade 12 for the school year
beginning September, 1976. An increase of one member to .
the teaching staff and the addition of one classroom is
necessary to meet the needs of the program.

Programming is underway with students who will be
enrolled in Grade 12. A full academic program will be
offered, as well as several vocationally oriented courses.

The addition of Grade 12 completes 2 two year plan
and places the school in an unique position as one of

very few schools in B.C. offering Kindergarten to Grade

By the time this newsletter reaches you, we hope to
have our BARBEQUE installed and chickens selling like
hot pancakes. Also within the next couple days we hope
to have a whole new line of IMPORTED CHINESE FOODS.

This year again we will be handling BICYCLES. Due
to lack of space we will be selling them in the box that
they came in. They will have to be assembled by the
customer themselves. Frank McLean told us that he hopes
to open a small repair shop for minor repairs. The
store will not handle any repair items such as tubes,
tires etc. 3

We have just received a shipment of HIKING BOOTS at
a very reasonable price. For all you sunbathers we have
all kinds of LAWN CHAIRS and CAMP COTS on the way. With
the opening of the swimming pool shortly we have all
kinds of BATHING SUITS both mens and ladies and also
childrens so get them now while they last.
