PATRICK’S DAY TEA To the background muste of the Irtsh Rovers and other tunes from Ireland, a very successful and enjoyable tea and bake sale was held on March 17th at our Lady of Lour- des Church. Our arapevine has it that Kathy and Charlie Gander celebrated a 28th Weddina Anniversary on March 19th - Happy Anniversary and Many Happy Peturns to you both!! 13 FAREWELL FAREWELL - Liam and Nuala O'Connell and daughter who left Cassiar after 5 years to return to Ireland and then onto to Spain. Liam plans to return then to England where he will take a photography course and an eventual return to Canada. On February 27th, the girls at the Ladies Staff House aathered for a surprise ''farewel]'' dinner (prepared by Sandy Crawford) in honor of Judith Myerscough. After stuffina themselves with ''Sandy's Special Spagetti'' the oirls presented Judith with a partina aift - a jade 4 leaf clover brooch in a aold settina. Judith had been in Cassiar for 10 months and worked in the Reception Office as telex operator. She is now on a tour of B.C. and eventually plans to return to Australia, her homeland, for a visit. After a few months of visitina in Australia, Judith intends to. return to Canada to work. Here's hopina Judith's four leaf clover will proverbially be a lucky one! FAREWELL to another Cassiar resident. Frank Cafferty bode us farewell on February 19th and as seems to be the ''friendly custom! a farewell party was in order.
