In case some readers are not familiar with SNO-BALL, At AS a game of baseball played on Snowshoes, but not ordinary Showshoes. The ones used are * fe ne Fast Delivery! ba 04 plywood and were invented ‘ ares y a Local carpenter. The game started slowky as the onky tmpartial umpine in toun fatled to show up and as rt was StLLE only 1:00 p.m. many of the Lions had yet to greet the new day. However,~ enough of the enthusiastic spectators were pressed into service as substitute Lions and the game began. In a short time the Lions Led by 3 to 0 and the snow surface of the infield was torn into deep pits. This was easrly corrected by moving the bases back toa better playing surface and play continued. Spanked by the coaching of Pat Witwicki, the fiekd- ing by John Taylor and Jim Caklow the Rod and Gun Club got on the scoreboard and despite the dirty tactics of pttcher "BUTCHER" Brent went on to win the game 7 to 6. The Rod and Gun Chub wishes to take this opportunity to thank the spectators who came out to cheer the teams on and to hope that this sport wih become more popular An the future.
