It is trux that thxrx arx forty-six othxr kxys that function wxll xnough, but just onx kxy not working makxs the diffxrxnex. At prxsxnt, it sxxms to us that our community is. Ixkx our typxwritxr. Somx of its mxmbxrs arx working wxll but somx arx not. Xvxn if only onx pxrson or onx organization is not functioning propxrly, it would makx a diffxrxnex. Spring is in the air and the sun is shining and it is also the time of year to clean and spruce up our home and communi- ty. It is a good time to re-examine our community and certainly if any community needs re-appraisal, our's does. We need to examine our clubs and ask if they have performed as they should, and if not, why not. Last we need to examine our own efforts and ask ourselves if we have done all we could have done for the community, rather than ask what it has done for us We nxxd....oops, that typewriter again! Possibly, it and our community needs somx fixing. NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC It was a pleasure recently to receive a visit from Mr. Dave Boyer of National Geographic magazine. Mr. Boyer is at present engaged in gathering material for an article on the Canadian North. His visit here was a small part of a busy itinerary that often requires as much as seven months absence in a year from his home in Washington, D.C. His companions are several cameras which are kept in practically constant use. Writer - cameraman - adventurer - his quest for news has led him (to mention only a few places) to the Antarctic, the islands of the South Pacific, the Holy Land, major engineering construction projects, and now to the Arctic. To meet Mr. Boyer is, at once, to be impressed with his objectivity and profes- sional ethics. We wish him well and hope we may be included on his itinerary for a return visit.
