November 30,1999 Soundscape SoulWax Much Against Everyone’s Advice Almo / Universal This is the kind of music which Soundgarden, the Black Crowes, and Pearl Jam can all get together and reminisce to. The Belgian quad’s third album, these four were never without influence to keep them going. At the age where they were just getting interested in music, the four “discovered amaz- ing things in their attic; the first Jimi Hendrix singles; the Beatles. All of Soulwax’s albums have been recorded in California, since the group wanted to work with pro- ducer Chris Goss: (Masters of Reality, Kyuss). Chris Goss worked under his normal price to give bud- ding Soulwax a break. Anyway, Sleeping Pill turned out to be a great success and generated a lot of interest.
