To brighten up the town over the Christmas Holiday
season the Cassiar Town Council promoted a house decor-
ating contest for the third year in a row.

The judges of the contest made their survey of .the
town on Tuesday evening, December 23rd and after some
deliberation came up with the following results:

Mr. & Mrs. Cosnett of 250 Drybrough Street has won
first prize of $200.00

A most enjoyable and festive spirit prevailed at the
Christmas banquet that was held this year in the rec-
reation hall.

The Cafeteria staff out did themselves to prepare and
decorate the food for this occasion and those that
attended were very pleased with the banquet atmosphere.
The sing-song and movie that followed were truly filled
with the excitement and spirit of Christmas. Merriment Mr. & Mrs. E. Hudson of 386 McDame Street has won
surely was the tone of the occassion. second prize of $100.00

Thanks to all that helped to decorate the hall and Mr. & Mrs. B. Houston of 202 Smith Street has won
prepare for Christmas Day. third prize of $50.00.

The Cassiar Public School won the commercial prize of
$200.00

those that took part to improve the appearance of our
