Cassiar Drum Corps

The draw for the Cassiar Drum
Corps boncs was held on March 12, ©
with Les Browett, Lions Liasion
Officer to the Drum Corps, off-
iciating.

The winner of the $100.00 bond
was Mike Zemenchik ; the second prize
of $50.00 was won by Mr. I. Blair
while Patty Garrett won third prize.

The directors of Cassiar's Drum
Corps wish to express appreciation
to the Lions Club as sponsors of
the draw, and a special thanks to
those members who assisted in the
sale of tickets. From the proceeds
our drum section was completed.

Six snare drums, bass drum and cy-
mbals. There will be further pro-
grammes to complete the brass sec-
tion and we hope to have the same
enthusiasm and support.

Thanks also from the directors
of the Drum Corps tothe Com-
unity Club for their donation of
$75.00 and to Mr. McGregor for his
donation of $105.00.

At this time thanks are also
due to Mr. Jack Graham, a former
director and drum instructor for
all his help given while he was
here in Cassiar.

Signs of Spring

The birds are coming back

The birds are in the nest hatching
eggs.

The pussy willow are growing.

The chickadees are coming out of
the mud.

Puddles are back.

The squirrels are comming back.
The bears are waking up from the
long sleep.
