Announcement In response to many inquiries on the subject which have been received by the Company from all parts of the world, this booklet is issued by the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway Company for the purpose of giving information respecting its western terminus on the Pacific Ocean at Prince Rupert, British Columbia the new city now being built on the northern British Columbia Coast. There has been acquired in the interest of the Railway Com- pany twenty-four thousand acres of land at Prince Rupert and vicinity for the purpose of the townsite and the development of the Port, a one-quarter interest of which belongs to the Province of British Columbia, which is therefore jointly interested with the Railway Company in the development of this Vew Seaport. The first subdivision of the townsite covers an area of about two thousand acres. The first sale of Prince Rupert lots took place at Vancouver, May 25th to 29th, inclusive, 1909.
