FROM THE LIONS DEN The Cassiar Lions held a Social on Saturday, June 23rd, Past Governor Rupert McKenzie installed the officers of the Lions Club for the year 1973-74, President - Ed Michael Secretary - George Humphrey Treasurer - Les Sirett Tail Twister - to be announced Lion Tamer - Alf Lehman Ist Vice-President - Fred Schmidt-Neilson, Chairman of Auctions and Bingos 2nd Vice-President - Tony Coran, Chairman of Lions Adventure Playground, 3rd Vice-President - Al Wagner, Chairman of C.N.I.B. Co-chairman of C.N.I.B. Reg Ash. Director - Brian Baldwin, Chairman of Chain Lake Picnic Grounds. Director - Ed Hanley, Chairman Lions Regatta and Lions Spring Carnival Director - Paul Ripco, Chairman of Lions Beer Bottle Drive. Co-Chairman Lion Terry Hines. Zone Chairman, District 49-B - Lion Lothar Kutz. Co-Chairman of the Lions Voice - Lion Oskar Daum and Lion Bob Neidermeyer. Chairman for Lions Swimming Pool and Chairman for Lions Publicity - Lion Rupert McKenzie, Lion John Poirier was presented with a Governors Appreciation Award for his good work as Chairman of the C.N.I.B. programe for the past 2 years. Lion Al Flanagan was presented with a token of appreciation for his good work as Chairman of the Beer Bottle Drive for the past 5 years. Cassiar Lions Adventure Playground has been cleaned-up and grass planted again for the use of all the children in the area, THANKS to Lion Danny Demitri, the Lions Flag Pole is finally installed and a real nice job - now all we need is the flags. : The Cassiar Lions presented Trophies and Scholarship Bonds to some very des- erving students of our public school.
