Those who are involved as Cub Masters are Mr. D. McClellar Mr. C. Cross, Mr. G. Bermel, Mr. D. Thesenvitz, Rev. P. Nissen and Mrs. -M. Isidoro. All of the leaders are grate ful for the help and supervision Mr. McClellan has given us. - 2999998 The Lions have definite word now that the Cassiar Cadets are approved by the Government. They will be affiliated with the Rocky Mountain Rangers of Kamloops, B.C. and will be receiving supplies from Edmonton. This is a splendid opportunity for the youth of Cassiar, both boys and girls, to become involved in a good organization. The training, the trips and the excursions are a real experience. The Cadet meetings will start in the near future and will be announced so that everyone is informed. THANKS STEELWORKERS THE UNITED STEEL WORKERS, UNION. 6536, donated the entire proceeds from their T.V. Raffle, $760.00 towards the Lions swimming pool improvements . President Bob Yorke figures the swimming pool is a very worth while project and the local union are very interested to see fits completion. As you can see we have a large group of boys his year. Besides teaching them the Cub Law and Promise we have been giving them practical experience in the Morris Code, knot tying and a film has been shown on artificial respiration. We are grateful to the parents for their Support. Scowls to the people who decided that "singles" who want- ed to’ attend the New Year's Eve Party had to pay the price of a ticket for two people.
