Provincial Police and one each from Victoria, Saanich, Oak Bay and West Vancouver, attended the first traffic instructional class held at the B.C. Police Training School in March. The course dealt chiefly on pre- ventative measures, more to promote safe and sane driving than to see how many drivers could be prosecuted. Candidates received special instruction on lecturing to prepare them for lec- NINETEENTH EDITION ¥ turing on safe and sane driving to schools and various organizations. It is planned to increase the field strength of the B.C. Provincial Police traffic detail by 100% and the Pro- vincial Police candidates are sche- duled to operate a fleet of new high- way patrol cars to be stationed at critical points throughout the prov- ince.
