School Board Reverses Decision At an open Board meeting in Cassiar on April 7, 1990, School Board members voted unanimously to reinstate the two principal positions in the Cassiar school system. Spokesperson for the Parents Advisory Committee, Lynda McGill, stated that the trustees had taken the parents concerns into consideration and as well had received encouraging informa- tion from Victoria, as to the a- mount of funding available under Ss tas ae RE Ne .O LLS) OF, FL FAD the new Block funding arrangement, McGill also advised that headway was made with the School Boards decision not to use trail- er units for the new high school. Architects have been given the green light to design a permanent type structure, with components that could be moved at some point in time if necessary. Dease Lake Post Mistress Resigns The Courier has learned that Roxy Royer, Post Mistress in Dease Lake for the last five years has resigned her position. Canada Post Corporation spokesperson in Vancouver was re- luctant to discuss the situation at present. She stated that there were no plans at this time to make any changes, that a temp- orary Post Mistress had been hired and that Karren Campbell] Post Mistress from Cassiar was in Dease Lake for training pur- poses.
