Ermma Tischler and Lil Kamlah were convenors of
this event along with their hard working committee. of

volunteers. They are to be thanked for touching the
soft spot of most of the men in Cassiar, that is notably
"Their Tommies''. The supper was a tremendous success
and could not have been this way accept for the excellent
Support of many ladies and men who volunteer to cook and
bake various dishes for the supper.

Close to 300 people attended this affair and every-
one went away satisfied and contented with the meal.

As you may or may not know this was one of the many
special events the Anglican Church Women organize to
raisé money to aid in the operation of All Saints
Anglican Church. We would also like to thank the
Recreation Centre staff for their backup support in
setting up tables and other odd chores.

The Cassiar Rod & Gun Turkey Shoot was held March
11, 1976. A very good job was done by the Target Judges
Fred Cousins and Norm Cosnett in judging the close tar-
gets shot up during the turkey shoot.

Rangemasters Bill Riddle and Jason Clark ran the.
shooting order superbly.

Club members; Jim Callow, Mike Dowdall and all the
other members who helped, thanks. We will soon have a
well equipped club with the funds eamed.

Cross Country

Clarke Rodgers and his crew of helpers layed out a
very challenging course for the skiing competitors. Here
again we were blessed with good weather which seemed to
be the story for the whole week. :

It was a great day for skiing on March 13th when our
enthusiastic skiers "hit the bright white'' under the blue
skies to compete in the Winter Carnival Week. Wayne
Mayell, Erma Tischler, Lil Kamlah, Ed Tomashewski, Joe
Slana, Bill Burr and Cerina Callow put their energy to-
gether and ensured that the participants in the skiing
had a real good time. As we have noted before, these
Winter Carnival Events were successful because of the .
many volunteers that cheerfully gave of their time to be
helpers in the events.
