March 25th Mr. & Mrs. Mickey Dopsen and Nick Stuifbergen were honoured at a fare well party held at the Cassiar Schcol. Mr. N.F. Murray called on Mr. T. Horsley to make the presentation to Mr. & Mrs. Dopeon of an engraved ice bucket. Mr. Horsley presented Mr. Dopson with a gaily decorated hard hat as a keepesake fron Cassiar. Mr. We Johnson had Mr. A. Caron make the presentation to Niek Stuifbergen of a leather brief case. The Dopson family will make their home in Victoria. Nick will be taking up residence in Ottawa where he has a position awaiting him. Mr. and Mrs. N.r. Murray entertained the general office staff at their home the evening of Mareh 26th. Cocktails and dinner were served and a most delightful time was had by all. @#eoesesev The evening of March 25th, the home of Mr. I (Steve) Molnar was the scene of festivity to celebrate his birthday. Cocktails and a delicious buffet luncheon were enjoyed by all. Also, several pictures of the guests were taken, hope that they turn out and we may be able to see them. Krs. Rebecca Mehlhart held a Baby Shower for Mrs. wilknan, at her home on Thursday, ‘iarch 23rd. ‘There were twelve ladies present at this lovely party. Mrs. N.P. Murray made & very much appreciated presentation. Later on in the evening Mir. Siecle Mafbeun entertained the ladies by singing « song | in German cf Young Love. A group of about 35 gathered at the Men's staff house in the form of a atag (we weren't sure for a while though) for Bil) Plumb prior to his wedding on April 2nd. Thies was one of the best affairs in Cassiar (of this nature) for a long time, complete with court and lynching. Nearly everything *went' at this stag. We'd like to tell you more, but space does not permit us te. All in all, we think everyone enjoyed themselves; There were no casualties except a few ‘duil’ heads which matched the weather on Good iday.
