PGP!RG Recycling Group Update Submitted by: Amy Gondek The PGPIRG Recycling was collected on Saturday, March 3rd in the UNBC residence building. The 2000 items that were collected included: bev- erage containers, tin cans, and milk jugs and glass jars. The recycling group made just over $100 that will be used to pay for the residence cardboard recycling bin. Currently the recycling group and the residence council are. sharing the $100/month cost for the use of the bin. Both groups feel that the monthly bill should be paid by the same budget that the garbage collection comes out of, but currently the responsi- bility has been left to the two groups. The recycling group, believes that there is a need for the Cardboard bin, as it is always full, and a need for a recy- TRANSFERRING = ? cling program to pick up other recycalables form the resi- dence. A proposal for a per- manent program is at the moment being looked at by the presidents council and hopefully should be in effect next school year. If you want more information on recycling in PG. or at UNBC please stop by the PIRG office. gee oca THE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF THE CARIBOO Administration Science Science in Math) » Bachelor of Social Work » Bachelor of Education ~ Elementary » Bachelor of Business » Bachelor of Journalism +) in Kamloops, British Columbia UCC IS NOW ACCEPTING KAMLOOPS: APPLICATIONS FOR A GREAT SMALL CITY TRANSFER TO: The main campus of UCC is located winter living.
