A small number of devoted, talented - § students, primarily from grade 8, scrounged ~~ jborrowed, and begged all kinds of materials - ipaint, wood, lights, extension cords and so {forth in an effort to win the contest for ;their school. At the time this paper goes in print, we are pleased to report that these students efforts have been rewarded. The Town Council has awarded the School, $100.00 for the best decorated building in - Ward 7. For the kids who worked unstint- J ingly after school hours in putting up this ‘display, congratulations! The Students' Council LEMON SORBET raised $200.00. This dessert only 100 calories - 20 calories per portion. INGREDIENTS QW 4 teaspoons gelatine i/4 pint boiling water 4 crushed saccharin tablets 3/4 pint cold water Rind and juice of 1 lemon (juice should measure 3 tablespoons) METHOD 1. Melt gelatine in the boiling water, then stir in saccharin. 2. Put the cold water, lemon juice and thinly peeled rind into a saucepan and bring to the boil slowly. 3. Remove from the heat. Strain and stir in the gelatine mixture. 4. When beginning to set, whip wntil thick and foamy. Pour into a freezing tray and freeze until firm. Serve in individual glasses. : .
